Identity Theft
04:35
|
|||
How many faces have you got
hiding ‘neath the mask tonight?
Everyone is caught up in something -
their own wicked divide.
Your mind's a cat in a hat, and
it’s trashing everything in sight.
With no time left you won’t be
the last guest of mine.
Identity theft - something has taken you away to flight.
With no time left you won't be the last guest of mine?
Have you got something to hide?
Have you got something to hide?
If you have something to hide
You better give it away tonight
You ride, you ride oh
To flight - to flight.
Are you gonna get what you want?
You've got to get what you need -
you don't know what you want?
You better make it up
The wind can change and the face -
it learns to wear the mask.
A clever disguise to draw
a line underneath what's passed.
You want some sugar for a dollar?
You must be sizing up the scene -
And when the penny drops,
You’ll be rolling in the crap or the cream.
Identity theft something has taken you away to flight
When your soul has left which will be the last mask we find?
Have you got something to hide?
Have you got something to hide?
If you’ve got something to hide
You better give it away tonight.
You ride, you ride.
You ride tonight
to flight to flight oh
you ride tonight.
Are you gonna get what you want?
You've got to get what you need
You don't know what you want,
You better make it up

Soyfriends
01:56
|
|||
I like my fat friends,
my full fat friends.
I'm tired of Soyfriends
Low fat dead end.
I've been trialling all the substitutes.
I miss my fat friends
my creamy friends.
I'm tired of the GM trends,
and those beany bends.
I'm a sucker for a substitute,
I'm a sucker for a broken heart
I've been trialling all the substitutes
I'm stealing thunder from a broken heart.
Who are you?
Who?

Expecting
03:26
|
|||
I had a dream that I was pregnant,
and everyone was happy for me.
My cheeks had the glow of a mum-to-be,
And everyone was complimentary.
I made the rounds to show off my belly,
and my friends suggested quirky names.
And it made me think that I could raise a child,
but probably only in my mind.
Cos I cannot keep a cactus alive in my real life.
So in my mind I just dream.
In this dream my world's expansive.
The sky is deep and fresh as double cream.
Everywhere I go I take a taxi
and every ride the driver gives me free.
I’m not alone where ever I may go,
I’m feeling something kick and it’s a scream.
And it made me think that
I could give birth to life.
After I’ve nurtured it deep inside.
But I cannot keep myself on a line
In my real life.
So in my mind
I am expecting.
And when I wake up in the morning light.
I find it easy to believe.
That everything will be just fine
and I can change.
I had a dream.
I’m not alone where ever I may go.
I’m feeling something kick and it’s a scream.
And it made me think the feel of
this dream could catch on.
Maybe the baby is just this song.
So I’ll try to keep the children alive
In my mind.
So in my life
I’m always expecting.

Everyone is gay and everyone smokes pot,
hey - maybe that’s an overstatement but there’s a whole fucking lot.
Don’t ask me how i know or to name names cos I’ll refrain
I’ve seen them stopping on their way down town
The people who play it safe in their workplace or in their family,
the architect, the tradie, the bus driver, barrister and the postie.
Even little old ladies writing letters complaining
I’ve seen them stop in on their way down town
Everyone should pray for a night of endless pleasure,
a holy fuck could save you and loosen your leisure.
Don’t ask me who I’ve been with or what I’ve seen between the sheets.
They made a stop in on their way down town
The pollies, priests and coppers - the celebrated collars of our town - never seemed to keen to stop me as I was going down.
Everyone should be getting laid - can we make it a rule?
How can the law stop you from getting laid?
They should be getting laid - instead of ruining it for everybody else.
What fools
So everyone be gay and smoke what you got -
a holy stone fuck could save you
and drive up your stock.
All these stupid laws to please the vatican and some pill popping, daddy-loving, son of no women people.
Who are gay. they’re SO gay.
their god is one man. That’s pretty gay
and they run the state with facist blind hate,
they dictate to be straight & say you don’t have a play
they say its hell or goal for the unnatural crimes of smoking a spliff and banging your mate.
If everyone was a little bit gay. a little less straight
there would be no war - you’d get your rocks off everyday.
and wouldn’t that be great?
Guess i have to spell it out for you.

You are an asshole,
but I am an asshole too
so let’s just be assholes on our own.
You wanna fuck the whole world,
well I wanna fuck them too,
so let’s just scrap this shit about growing old.
You’ll never be my death bed bride.
You'll never be my death bed bride.
You are an insane prick from hell.
I wish you were a dud screw too,
so I could shut you out into the cold.
You’ve had a gutful. Well, well, I’ve had a gutful too,
so let’s just purge the excess alone.
You’ll never be my death bed bride.
You could never be my death bed bride.
You can watch me shred your dress you swine.
You will never be my death bed bride.
Oh my god how I love you.
Oh my god how I love you.
Oh my god how I love you.
Oh my fucking god.
You’ll never be my death bed bride.
You’ll never be my death bed bride.
You can watch me shred your dress you swine.
You’ll never be my death bed bride.

Maze
04:18
|
|||
Follow me back around the bend,
To see some things to heal, to mend.
And passing through all of these halls,
I will not yield I will not pause.
Someday
Someday
You followed me back around the bends
to retrieve some things to feel, to end.
And snaking through the corridors
you laid these stairs beyond the walls.
But which way?
Which way?
In my maze
In my maze
I lost you
It's where i lost you
So which way?
Which way?
In my maze

Just Enough

Last stop on the ride
explicit tour of decline
easy come easy go easy stalling
i could just keep blowing
but none of these seeds are gonna sow
I'm closing down for business
I know you always get what you want
So why not give you give you just a little more
I know you can't handle what you already got
what's the big deal give you just a little more rope
Curiousity - culture eats
and shits itself and eats it shit
crawling on its knees
what a time to be alive,
you sure get a bang for your buck
in the modern age.
I know you always get what you want
So why not give you give you just a little more
I know you can't handle what you already got
what's the big deal give you just a little more
The deal is sealed when everything goes wrong
whats the big deal give you just a little more rope
It would be please me to help you out.
Make sure you get just enough
Round and round and round the rope goes
Round and round and round the world goes
Hang in there, you might get what you want
Careful dear you might get what you want
I know you always get what you want
So why not give you give you just a little more
I know you can't handle what you already got
what's the big deal give you just a little more
The deal is sealed when everything goes wrong
whats the big deal give you just a little more rope
Please me.
Help you out.
Make sure you get just enough.

The Guru's Shoes
07:12
|
|||
I remember when i was seven, crying in the backseat
moving from Blackalls Park
"Hey Mum, Hey Dad why aren't we
moving to Hollywood? I want to be a star.
I'll be in the movies with River Phoenix and Martha Plimpton and we'll all star in a shockingly good sequal to "The Lost Boys"
and we'll all win academy awards."
The road was long - and I measured it in carpenters songs, the way I remember it - the road to the bush that day was long.
And I was praying in the backseat to Madonna, thought Madonna was
the daughter of the mother of God.
I fell in love with so many people, not just famous faces
some were whores and disgraces and I considered myself
lukcy and humble to be a devoted disciple.
If i could spend some time with the Guru,
touch the gilded glove lowered from above.
Some Frank N Furter for my Brad and Janet
A hero to blow my mind.
Oh but who can you trust?
When you're raised by corrupt governments,
lame marketing and religious nuts?
Oh who can you trust - When all you can feel is the lust and power
and it's a rush.
I don't remember a time and a place but it was somewhere
between the second season of Twin Peaks and seeing fear and pain
on my mother and fathers faces. I stopped being a child.
Forgive my strange sentience - passing the age where one of my heroes died.
Oh who can you trust?
When all you see is the grief and the cost
When your love don't last and love is crushed
between wars and banks, mistrust and yoru own disgust
and you start to notice the rot and the rust.
Well the road is long, and I probably shouldn't be wearing thongs,
I must have walked a mile by now in my Guru's Shoes
and I have no idea why I put them on - get them off me
Get them off me
If you see Buddha on the road you should kill him don't listen to
a fancy word he says.
